Contingency Planning for your Business
10 May 2019
Nobody likes to think about being hit by something that could jeopardise their business, but it is critical to your business's survival that you do so.
Does your staff know what to do in the event of an emergency due to terrorism, fire, extreme weather or a cyber attack? In a small business, what if the owner/manager was suddenly taken ill or there were multiple staff sicknesses? Would the business be able to keep trading?
If you don't know the answer to these questions, it's time to put a contingency plan in place. Read our Risk Assessment & Contingency Planning guide for things to consider in relation to your business.
Putting in place a contingency plan gives you peace of mind and has the added bonus of making the business more organised and efficient. It will enable your business to operate despite the problem, or at least keep the business closed for a minimal amount of time.
