Increase in National Minimum Wage

From October 2013, the National Minimum Wage (NMW) will increase.

• For adults aged 21 and over, the rate increases by 12p an hour to £6.31.
• The rate for 18-20 year olds will rise by 5p to £5.03.
• 16-17 year olds will see a rise of 4p per hour to £3.72.
• Low pay commission for apprentices will increase by 3p to £2.68 per hour.
